It all started with a Streetpiece I found in Berlin-Mitte. . Then someone showed me the Wall found in Kreuzberg a few weeks back (Last picture). Then, going out on one of those I've-been-sitting-in-front-of-a-screen-since-midnight-and-it's-now-ten-in-the-morning-but-I- can't-really-tell-because-my-eyes-are-blurry walks, I discovered a plethora of cashflow-related stencils in my customary lens hunting ground, featuring all manner of personalities found on bills of varying denominations around the world. Photography ensued, and Blogging has now followed. I hope enjoyment is the final result. This is the picture Thomas showed me at work, which rejuvenated my interest in these works. A short, brisk walk is a very salubrious experience. It vivifies the mind and excites the eyeball, gives you ample opportunity to admire the surrounding architecture and art that invariably adorns the facade of the buildings. It also allows for the discovery of old friends engaged in new activities, such as a bean I hitherto thought innocent engaging in some dirty SM moves… I hope that you have enjoyed this vicarious walk!

Glorious Monday, dear co-existants! I am happy to report to this committee that steets were stridden upon, walls in Kreuzberg were shot and that they have been distilled and posted upon this virtual vertical surface! I wish you a happy monday and remember… Euphoria prevails!

There must be some useful synonym for walls, as I growing weary of describing these surfaces upon which spray paint has been lovingly applied with some haste, as walls. What follows here therefore are five housefronts, either stenciled, or plastered with pieces of printed or painted paper. They shall be not commented upon. They are, however all rather fetching… We have hereby reached the end of this edition of our pictured publication and hope you have enjoyed it.

And this morning, having found my wall of choice, shot it and documented, giving it strange and multifarious names in the process (it went from being called Greg to a sex change and Heidi… don't ask), here it comes:

Hereunder, you shall find three pictures of walls and one of the Ground in Kreuzberg. The Trash Container is used in construction and proves its qualities as a stencil surface. Caption: "Mom, the cats totally destroyed!" Lucy, what have you done? This last one is interesting in that it has been popping up all over the ground over the last few weeks… either it's a reaction to government bailouts, wishing ponies on everyone (I'll pass, never having harboured that particular dark desire, thank you very much…), never considering how much it would cost to feed the animal. It would probably be good for the flowers, though… OR it's hairstyle advice, as a pony also translates as a fringe. In which case whoever did this might be pointing out that we all have faces like horses… which is a valid point of view.

I knew I had missed a few. Have three pieces of extra street art on the house! Anything involving the survival of the panda race can't be that bad, right?

Any travel guide will probably tell you to avoid this particular spot in Berlin. The going joke is "In other parts of the city, you'll find needles or bottles or puke on the steet. If you want to see the full tableau, visit the Kotti". If you do dare to visit, I recommend two things: Tadim Döner, who produce one of the best Kebabs in the city, and, since you are already in the area, that you dare sneak a peak at the backside of the eyesore that is the Zentrum Kreuzberg. According to the Berlin Streetart Blog (link in German), it is one of the hotspots for creative tagging in the city. I tend to concur. There you will find many and varied forms of expression, some by street artists documented elsewhere on Carambolage, some political, some by great unknowns.
