Caramblogage

One of the joys of being a graphic designer, in spite of all the vituperation in previous posts, is the ability to be in several places at the same time. So from Berlin, I have, through modern technology and the telephone, developed the ability to send and receive thoughts directly from the initiators of the freisprechanlage festival in Munich. Somehow, we have also managed to create a flyer for the festival. All as if we were sitting in the same room. With crumpets. And possibly some icky-sweet Arabic tea. As a long-time fan of complaints choirs ( the Finnish one still blows me away ) I could not help myself but support this particular workshop.  This part of Freisprechanlage is on in Munich from the 13th — 21st of July 2011. It is a platform3 project in cooperation with the Cairo (complaints) Choir . Watch this space, there's more coming your way from Munich and soon from Berlin.

Once again, the Achtung Berlin Film Festival has come upon us. And this year I'm so there. I had completely forgotten the joys of sitting in a dark screening room for five hours on end at four on a sunny day. I had pushed to the back of my mind the schmoozing, the boozing, the sheer amount of socialising one does during these events. I thought I'd never want to do it again, after quitting the festival circuit five years ago. And yet… having a pass and time on my hands I've decided to attend this year and have, up to now, found it to be a most enjoyable experience! I've been watching quite a few films, so I'll break it down a bit, and introduce three films.
